Hablemos español!
Yeah! I was looking forward to this point for a longer time and last Tuesday, I finally got my first Spanish lessons! We’re only six students and five of them are girls…well, if you put two and two together, you catch that I’m the only guy in this class. I’m really wondering, if this turns out to be good or if I get bored of all the girls-topic-discussions…!
We learnt a few sentences only during these lessons, such as “Hola, que tal?” what means “Hi, how’re you?”, “De donde eres?” - “Where are you from?” or “Como te llamas?” - ”What’s your name?”. Well, you see, I already learnt some really important words!:) Our teacher, a Colombian from Bogota (you maybe associate this name with the notorious Pablo Escobar, which is indeed not that wrong!), immigrated to Switzerland about eight years ago and is teaching since 2006. Most of the time, she’s teaching in Spanish, although we’re all beginners without any previous knowledge of the Spanish language and so it comes, that it is rather difficult to catch everything she is saying…!
However, I’m already eager to attend classes again and that’s a good sign indeed - isn’t it?!
