No military - no cry?!
Well, sometimes, luck seems to be on my side as well. After a broken car, a broken dishwasher and so on, there’s something pleasant on the way. Normally, I have to fulfil military service for four weeks somewhere in the beginning of autumn. This time, however, it happened that my teammate submitted his resignation right for the time I’m supposed to be in the service. Now of course, my boss isn’t happy at all since our team consists of three people only and he desperately forced me to not attend military this year. The problem is, if one doesn’t attend military service, he (rarely she) has to pay three percent of one year’s assessable income which I wasn’t eager to do (who does!?). Thus, I asked my boss to pay this tax. Otherwise, I would have had to pay to go work. Hmm…pay to work? No. Definitely not. However, my boss agreed and military thoughts have vanished into thin air immediately! My company is going to pay the tax and I can stay at home…perfect!
