Back home!
Sunday, April 29th, 2007Hi there! Damn, even while only written a few words, I always press the wrong keys on my keyboard..! After hard work to adapt to the US keyboard, I have to switch to the CH one again…! However, that’s not the only thing that changed in the last 24 hours! First of all, there were about 18 hours of travel awaiting me. Wei, the Australian mate, brought me to the Bugis Station to say good-bye. We had our ‘last supper’ before at a food court and in a Thai restaurant (I was so hungry that we ate twice!!) with Wei’s cousin and a friend of her.
Once in the plane, I had the same problem as always - it was just impossible to sleep for me! I reckon the mix of excitement, lack of coziness and the noise make it just impossible for me to have some sleep. Thus, I arrived quite exhausted in London and was impatient to get my final plane to Zurich. When the plane (or the pilot..) prepared for landing, my excitement grew stronger and it was really strange to know, that I’m back home after all. After picking up my baggage, I went quick through the customs and there they were - my friends waiting for me! Thanks guys again - was nice to see you there!
After, I went first to my parent’s house to say hello, handed out presents and told my familiy that I’m fine and how it’s going. Then, I headed for one of our favourite bars in town and started to have some beers, some more beers and more with my buddies…uff! One of my friends even managed to puke behind the bar - this was definitely the sign that the time had come to go home. Home? Yes! My own bed, my comfy sofa and the clean bathroom were waiting for me - I just missed it a little bit!:) However, we went on with a BBQ (with my beloved St.Gall Bratwurst) and had some funny hours…
Now, the day after, I slowly but surely start (or try?) to switch to the normal life. The last four months were really great and with many amazing experiences. Really nice contacts made it an unforgettable time. On the other side, I’m also looking forward to my daily life - and to planning my next trip!:)
